The pet food protection problem solver and part-time pet parent
A graduate with a Master’s degree in Food Science from Polytech’ Montpellier, Nico joined Symrise Pet Food in 2012 specializing in Pet Food Protection. Previously, he worked in the food and beverage industry focusing on increasing the shelf life of natural ingredients in finished products.
At Symrise, he has drawn on this experience to work on natural antioxidant formulation and performance through shelf-life studies and new analytical tools; product development using emerging product techniques; and technical support for rendering and pet food manufacturers.
Nico enjoys being part of a small team in a global company with many hats to wear and relishes solving problems. He works with a wide variety of pet food industry professionals to exchange ideas and is constantly amazed at the creativity of the pet food market to find new solutions to evolving needs.
An instrumental figure in the growth of Videka from its inception more than a decade ago to today’s market leading brand, he is proud of the products they have developed and their peerless testing facilities.
Nico and his partner are part-time pet parents for their neighbors’ pets, who have a second home next door when their owners are on holiday.
