The dog lover leading the natural fight against salmonella
With a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Michigan State University, Charlie began his career as a Technical Service Microbiologist in the food safety industry in 2015. He joined Symrise Pet Food in 2023, following a spell at Pfizer as an Aseptic Plant Support Microbiologist.
In his current role in pet food protection for Videka, he oversees the natural antimicrobial product line, as well as customer laboratory projects, sales support, and customer training.
He enjoys being part of a small but growing team and responding to the ever-changing challenges of the pet food market. Focused on bringing innovative solutions to pet parents looking for natural ingredients in the fight against pathogenic bacteria, he is excited to lead the charge with Videka’s natural antimicrobial product line and expand the portfolio to become the global market leader.
Outside of the laboratory, Charlie and his wife, Nicole, have two rescue dogs who often join forces with the extended family’s four rescue dogs to create havoc at family gatherings, as well as giving endless slobbery kisses.
